Founder & Independent Financial Advisor

With extensive experience across all areas of finance and insurance, Jim is the founder of Williams Financial Coaching and Consulting and serves as the primary financial advisor for all clients. Jim is a fiduciary who works in the best interest of every client. He guides them through a comprehensive financial consulting process designed to uncover their unique goals and develop a personalized “financial vision board” that transforms aspirations into actionable strategies.

Jim’s first role in financial services was as an assistant at Smith Barney, where he learned the fundamental importance of managing every client relationship with exceptional care and attention. After gaining valuable experience at multiple firms, including Lincoln Financial, he opened his own independent practice. His approach centers on educating clients about the financial principles underlying each recommendation, ensuring they understand and feel confident in their financial decisions.

Outside of the office, Jim is a regular volunteer with the Union Community Care (winning Volunteer of the Year in 2016) and with the Longs Park Arts Festival. He is the sixth of twelve children and is blessed to have an identical twin brother. Jim enjoys football, fishing, hiking, and gardening, and shares his life with his wife in their blended family of four children and three grandchildren. When he isn’t busy outdoors or at work, he pursues his passion for remote control airplanes.
